- 10 oz marshmallows
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree

- 1/4 tsp allspice
- Green food coloring
- Tootsie rolls

- 13x9 inch baking dish
- Parchment paper
- Knife
Method
- Line a 13x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice to the pot and stir until well combined.
- Add the rice krispie cereal to the pot and stir until well coated.
- Add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture and stir until the desired color is reached.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly.
- Unwrap the tootsie rolls and cut them into small pieces to resemble stumps.
- Press the tootsie roll stumps into the top of the rice krispie treats.
- Allow the treats to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
If you don't have pumpkin puree on hand, you can substitute with applesauce or mashed sweet potato. You can also add more or less of the spices to suit your taste preferences. And if you don't have green food coloring, you can omit it altogether or use another color to fit your theme.Nutrition Info
