For the pastrami:- 1 lb pastrami
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of pastrami
- 2 tbsp Puerto Rican sauce

- Small bowl

- Grill pan or skillet
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. 2. In a small bowl, combine black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. 3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pastrami and place it on a baking sheet. 4. Bake the pastrami for 30-40 minutes or until it is heated through and slightly crispy. 5. While the pastrami is baking, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a small bowl to make the Puerto Rican sauce. 6. Once the pastrami is done, heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat. 7. Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on the grill pan or skillet, cut-side down, until toasted. 8. Add a slice of Swiss cheese to each half of the hoagie roll and let it melt. 9. Layer 2 slices of pastrami on one half of the hoagie roll and spread 1 tbsp of the Puerto Rican sauce on the other half. 10. Carefully place the two halves together to form a sandwich. 11.
