Method:
- Wash and soak the basmati rice for 15-20 minutes.

- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute till the raw smell goes away.

- Add the soaked basmati rice and mix well, making sure that the rice is coated with the masala.
- Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Cover the pressure cooker or the deep pan with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 whistles in a pressure cooker or for 20-25 minutes in a deep pan on low flame.
- Once cooked, switch off the flame and let the pressure release naturally in a pressure cooker or let it rest for 5-10 minutes in a deep pan.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with raita, pickle or papads.
